  8. Oct 25,  · My interest was piqued by "Mantovani plays Strauss Waltzes" on an old LP record; judging by the design on the record cover (ish), I'm sure it was produced well before I was born. I figured as good as his Strauss was, his "golden hits" on CD must surely be worthwhile and I wasn't disappointed/5().
  9. Golden Hits is a very special recording. My wife and I heard a broadcast of Mantovani playing More, one of our favorite songs. We both thought it was the best rendition we had ever heard. His scoring replayed the theme using different instruments as lead. The different combination of instruments enhanced the beauty of the song/5().
